What’s Taught in SafeGulf Safety Training

The industry that utilizes SafeGulf training is the offshore oil and gas industry. SafeGulf is a training course that provides the employees and contractors of the offshore oil and gas industry with the proper safety and training needed. This training is required for everyone who works in the offshore oil and gas industry. SafeGulf has the responsibility of educating the entire industry. In the past, the safety orientation was done separately by each individual offshore oil and gas company. This changed in 2004 when SafeGulf was developed. It was agreed that there will be one company that would be doing the training for the offshore oil and gas industry. This would save all companies money, time, and resources. This program has been very successful and over 250,000 oil and gas workers have been trained to buy SafeGulf. The goal of SafeGulf is to prevent or decrease the number of accidents and casualties when it comes to working in the offshore oil and gas industry.

Where Is Offshore Oil And Gas Work Done

The purpose of offshore drilling is to provide the United States with oil and gas. These oil and gas reserves are found in certain states in the United States such as Louisiana, California, Texas, and Alaska. Louisiana and Texas are right off the Gulf of Mexico this is why SafeGulf training Houston, Texas is very important. Texas employs a high percentage of the offshore oil and gas workers and most of them are located in Houston. The area or county in Texas that produces the most oil is Harris County which is located in Houston as well. Because the area is so prominently found with oil this is why SafeGulf training Houston is a necessity because the drilling is on a consistent basis. The training that SafeGulf provides to the workers covers a long list of hazards and safety concerns.
